A one-on-one master class with Gary Heery, built entirely around your own work and point of view.
Gary Heery has spent five decades building one of the most distinctive careers in photography — shooting album covers for Madonna, Roy Orbison and Paul Simon, running a studio in 1980s Soho, New York, and going on to shoot more than three decades of major Australian advertising campaigns for clients including Qantas, Coca-Cola and American Express. He's a three-time finalist for the Citibank Portrait Prize and a National Portrait Prize finalist — recognition built on exactly the eye this master class is designed to help you develop.
This isn't a lecture or a fixed curriculum. Gary works directly with your portfolio, one-on-one, helping you see what's already distinctive in your work and sharpen how you shoot it, refine it, and talk about it — the same clarity of vision that's carried his own career from Sydney to Los Angeles to New York and back again.
Sessions are best suited to photographers who already have a defined style and a body of work to bring to the table; Gary's focus is on sharpening a clear point of view, not building one from the ground up.
